The project is irrigated by a pumping station implemented on the right bank of Lake Al-Assad to the east of the town of Maskana, about 13 km, Japanese design and manufacture, consisting of five pumping groups, each of 5 m3 / s, and a pumping height of about 70 m3 / s The station is equipped with a modern electronic command and control system

Design Irrigation System and Total Irrigation Efficiency: Conventional surface irrigation with an open network of prefabricated canals (efficiency of 54%).

As for the drainage system: the covered drainage system and the open drains were implemented with the implementation of the project. Covered drainage was implemented in some border fields due to the high ground water carpet.
