The start of the actual and permanent pumping of water to the waterfall area in Handarat

President al-Assad participated, with workers and technicians at the water pumping station in Tal Hasel, in the countryside of Aleppo, in the launch of the actual and permanent water pumping operations to the waterfall area in Handarat to feed the Queiq River and with it the flow of water in the river and its crossing between the neighborhoods and streets of the city of Aleppo. After leaving the city of Aleppo, this water will irrigate about 8,500 hectares of agricultural land in the southern plains of Aleppo

President al-Assad stressed the importance of rehabilitating the entire engines of the station as it is an important part of the irrigation system in the agricultural plains of Aleppo, and stressed the speedy rehabilitation of the remaining two engines within the station to irrigate larger areas of agricultural land, while continuing to supply factories and workshops in the industrial city of Sheikh Najjar with sufficient quantities of water

President al-Assad had inaugurated the Tel Hasel station in 2008 as part of a major national project to irrigate the agricultural plains of Aleppo, but it went out of service in 2012 after the occupation of the area there by terrorist organizations, which completely destroyed the station
